Know More Vol. 2
// December 9th, 2005 // Funny, Lists
It’s been a while since I last told you some unknown facts about me, so here are a couple of more things about me.
- I am a left-hander. I write, eat, hold the phone and basically do everything with my left hand.
- I do not dance. People often ask me to dance and I say no. I don’t like passing off moving my hands and legs at irregular intervals as dancing. I don’t mind dancing if it’s choreographed but otherwise, it’s a no. I have danced in front of a large audience on few occasions but most of the times it was choreographed and when I danced during my ragging session in my office, I had already prepared a choreographed piece and the result, people actually thought I was a good dancer. I always think about joining a dance class but since never do it bcos of lack of company.
- I’ve never seen real snow or snowfall in my life. Even though I used to live close to hilly areas, I never went there. I hope I get a chance to see snowfall soon.
- I‘ve never been to a beach or seashore either. Guess I’m not much of a traveler. But Chennai is only six hours away, so who knows, I might just go there sometime.

You need to travel man. There is so much out there. Life is too short to miss out.
i havnt seen snow either .. but the temperature is fallin in delhi it might jus snow in delhi one of these days!! :p
From hills and snow, directly to beaches. Kya jump hai, wah ! wah !
As lucky Ali sang
‘Dil bhi kahin hai paharon mein, thoda sa kahin hai kinaron mein…ghumne ko to dil yeh chahta hai, jane kyun yeh thoda ghabrata hai’
Came to your blog from Yogi’s blog.
Well, you never know when you get a chance to experience life. Before coming here, I had never seen snowfall and now for the past 7 days the continous snowfall is irking me now.
I would suggest, Trivandrum inplace of Chennai, if you want to enjoy the real shore. Go during summmer to the Kovalam beach, it is fun there.
@vinaya: Yeah, i know but there’s no time for it. The only vacation i have is when i go home.
@akanksha: Yeah, and arabian sea might move to delhi too. So we’ll have both beach and snow in delhi.
@yogi: Bilkul sahi. “Dil to aakhir dil hai naa.”
@greensatya: Welcome.
I completely agree with you.An year ago the farthest place I had been from home was Wagah border and now I am sitting more than 2000kms away from there. I hope my life will take me to all corners of the world.
Yeah, kerala’s beaches are prostine and unspoilt. Maybe i’ll make plans soon.
what if a cute girl asks u to dance with her?
WHAT? Never seen beach, dude..drive away to Marina beach. Unless you go there, you would never know what you missed:)
@freeze: It could be Ayesha Takia (i think she is cute) and i’ll still say no. I’ll say yes only if she is willing to teach me the steps before we actually dance.
@ros: I know i’m missing something great but what to do? I cant go there alone (dont want to look like a loser) but have nobody to accompany me
A fellow lefty – most people find it guache but then again I wouldn’t have it any other way.
If you are into hindi movies..Have you watched Rajesh Khanna’s Anand, where he walks alone across a beach singging”Zondagi kaisee hai paheli”.Beaches are fun. If you dont want to go alone, jog alone:) Its not that bad, trust me!
oi! I missed loads.. so consolidated(heh! a/c terminology, bt i am a bcom hons 2nd yr student :p) comment:
HAPPY BIRTHDAYYYYY!!
Wish you all the happiness there is for your life ahead
Secondly, about India Calling, I told you so :p Its crappier than that Sony thingee(forgot the name, that soap about an 18yr old girl and artificial insemination)
Thirdly, left handed people are very intelligent. Wah! And oh yea, even I cant dance. Cant even dance a previously choreographed one :/
I havent seen snow too neither can i dance
I can’t dance. (shhh! Don’t tell anyone)… But I have seen snow. All I need to do is look out my window and there it is. Snow’s amazing. You should definitly travel somewhere that has snow.
@akshay: Do people find it gauche? Really? Nobody has ever said anything like that to me. But yeah, I wouldn’t have it any other way either.
@ros: Yes, I am very much into hindi movies and i have seen “zindagi kaisi hai paheli”. I didnt wanna travel to chennai alone cos its boring. As far as going to the beach is concerned, I dont need anyone with me. In fact, I think i’ll enjoy it more if i’m alone.
)
@aaki: Thanks
I like watching things which I know will be bad. Thats why i watched India calling.
//Thirdly, left handed people are very intelligent.//
I use that line on people who seem surprised to see that i’m a left-hander.
//Cant even dance a previously choreographed one//
So what? You can blame the choreographer for that.
@jonybr: Thats good to hear but atleast you live near the beach
@abigail: So i guess quite a few non-dancers we’ve got here. I really want to see snowfall. Is there a place close to the beach where it snows?

For southern Indians, snow is a rare thing because of climate. That’s fine, but how did you resist visiting a beach? Beaches are simply marvelous! Do pay a visit! It’s worth your time.
@Vijaya: Well, I spent most of my life in Lucknow which is far from beaches so really there was no resistance
I did visit my first beach recently. You can read about it in this post.
