Digital Dreams

  • I wanted a change in my life and given the limited control I actually have on things, I decided to make my life a little more fun by buying a brand new TV, a new DVD player and to top it all, I got digital cable. Basically, few things I wanted for a long time now. The result is that I can now watch Family Guy whenever I want to and I don’t have to worry about bad cable reception.
  • I strongly believe that it should be illegal to talk on the cellphone while in the toilet. Seriously, do these people who talk on the phone while on the toilet tell the caller about where they are? And how do they explain the flush sound to the caller? And believe me, the other people in the bathroom don’t need to hear someone in the toilet stalls talking on the phone either. And unless there’s a law against it, people will continue doing it. So it must be made illegal. Now!
  • I was a little surprised to see John Mayer’s new album, Continuum, in the new releases section at Planet M last Sunday. I didn’t expect it to be released in India so soon. Needless to say, I bought it. I can completely relate to the opening song, “Waiting on the World to Change”. Take a look at the lyrics. I think most of us would agree with the viewpoint of the song. Its a nice song. And the rest of the album is good too.
  • I’ve seen quite a few movies recently but I think I will save my short reviews for the next post. The post frequency has been dropping rather drastically as it is.
  • Oh, and this post has been written using Windows Live Writer. Its a great tool. A must for all bloggers.

    @abhinav: Well, the movie festival has already started. Its schedule varies according to mine :D

    The party can be fixed for sometime tho :)

    //whats that abt

    I have had some disturbingly bad experiences, thats why :(

    @greensatya: Okay, I had no clue what u were talking abt so I did some (re)search and the incident is pretty funny. But I still demand that law! :)

    @preeti: Well, thats the whole idea. To make the post sound interesting even if the post isn’t :p

    I know that people wont follow such a law on their own but atleast I (and others like me) can force them to follow it.

    I still have some choc left but u need to get those fast. Let me know when u r here next :)

    @akanksha: Thanks. Oh, sorry, I forgot!! I really did! I met Lucio and still forgot to ask for the address. I will do it asap.

    u took a long time for this post :)

    i liked the lyrics, and the only hting we can do is probably as Gandhiji says : Be the change that you want to see in the world ( or something like that I think)

    i’ve never watched family guy. but then i havent watched any tv(just movies i pick) at all in the past four years. One day recently I turned it on late at night, and saw a reality show where spouses exchange places…what planet are these weird people on? They are called reality shows but looks like they’ve lost total touch with the real world and their fellow men. I know of no one who behaves this way.

    @tarini:

    //u took a long time for this post

    Yeah, I know. I am swamped with work :(

    Ya, Gandhiji did say that but its not so easy to achieve, is it?

    I think reality shows are fun. Yes, the people on them do seem like they come from hell but it just shows that there are so many nuts out there :D

    I dont know why I oculdnt get to yr blog from the recent comment.
    hm..i left a reply to yr comment in my blog…:)

    i was just trying out a different voice…a writing exercise..but do i want to keep my blog true to myself, so far i have, or do i want to make it more fictional?
    to be true or not, that is the question :)

    i’m jealous– you’ve gotten to see lots of movies lately.

    the only thing i’ve watched [over and over and over and over and over] is a “strawberry shortcake” movie that my daughter is infatuated with.

    it would be nice to watch something not rated G

    @tarini: O, so it was fictional. I see! :)

    @becky: Heh. I feel bad for you. It must be harrowing to watch it so many times :D
