RajI haven’t been explicitly asked to do this tag but I’m doing it cos I want to.
The tag requires me to “list five weird things about myself”. I already mentioned two very weird things about me in this post.
Before going any further, I would like to say that I like all the little subtle weirdness in people. I think it contributes towards one’s individuality.
On with the list:
- I can’t use the T9 dictionary for writing text messages and given that I’m a very tech-savvy guy otherwise, this is very weird and almost embarrassing for me. I have to make do with multitap.
- I always fear that my signature at important places like on a bank cheque won’t match the sample signature although that has never really happened. I somehow find my signatures taken at different times very different. (A friend who wanted me to write a cheque today somehow reminded me of this weirdness.)
- I can’t use bad words or shout profanities at anyone. I’ve never in my life used bad language. I occasionally use the f word on this blog but never in person. Anyone who I’ve ever met will vouch for it. I read once somewhere that the inability to curse is a result of lack of self-confidence but I am very confident perhaps over-confident so I don’t think that’s the reason.
- My shoelaces are almost always untied or loose. No matter which shoe or which laces I use, if it’s mine, it’s always like that. I don’t like slip-ons so that’s not an option. Thanks to this, I can walk for miles with long, untied shoelaces without stumbling or falling.
- Can’t think of a fifth point and that too after lecturing freeze about it. Now that’s weird!
i can vouch both fr the shoe lace thing and the profanity thing.. i have never heard u utter a bad word ever!
btw i cant find any weird things abt me.. will write abt them when i hav found atleast 3!

Well about the signature thing - no two signatures by the same person can be alike. If they are exactly similar then it will raise some suspicion.
Haven’t you ever fell over untied shoe lace ? take care, it can be pretty embarassing if it happens in office.
That profanity thing- that u dont use it and use it only on your blog- unequivocally applies on me too. There was this guy in my office but based in Kolkata who used to read my blog before we met. He actually thought me to be some cool dude etc. He was very disappointed to not find me one. But I am glad that eversince we have grown fonder of each other. Though not in the same way as your HR guy may like to think!
LOL about the signature thing. yeah, mine stinks too.
funny story– well not funny, but its a story nonetheless– Back once when i was working at the mall, a lady came in and was incredibly rude the whole time. i wanted to chew her head off. but, i didnt. So, she finally decided to buy something, and i was at the cash register. The signature she used on the receipt DID NOT match the one on the back of the card. So, i said: “i need to see your liscense, because the signature is different.” She was so grouchy about it, but inside it made me happy.
lol! see, now u believe me when i say that its tough to find weird things abt yrself! but since u already wrote 2 weird things before itself, its ok.

@sej: I dont think using bad words makes one cooler. I think i’m very cool. In fact, in college, few of my friends asked me for advice on how not to use bad words
And I always use * in f*ck even on my blog.

T9 is very tough. It always takes more time to type if i use it. It suggests all the wrong words.

Lovely comments i am visiting ur site for the first time… was quite interesting…And must say well presented.. Hey can help u with ur shoe laces getting untied all the time or loose.. All u need to do is after u tie a knot on ur lace just wet the knot with 2 to 3 drops of water on it… tha knot stays intact till u release it urself… Try it ;)… By the way i am Lawanya and u can reach me at Lawanya@bombhore.com
