Arre yaar Andaz Apna Apna was superb. ‘Haila’ and ‘Oui Maa’ One of the best Hindi movies.
Reminds me of the scene when Aamir gets his memory back and plays with the sharbat glasses..Mohan bagan and all.. Karsima stands on the sofa, amir snaps back at her, salman is made to look like a joey, and bhalla and robert waiting for others to gulp the sharbat. Paresh Rawal was superb too.
I thought LOTR was made straight out of ‘Nandan’ book. Independence day was equally childish.Other two movies I have not seen.
I will play this tag tomorrow, I guess.
@sej: Yeah, AAA is definitely one of the best hindi movies i’ve seen. The football with glasses scene was really funny.
In fact, the movie is full of great scenes. Its a classic.
@greensatya:
//I thought LOTR was made straight out of ‘Nandan’ book.
Hmmm?? I don’t get what that means. You mean Nandan, the kids story book? What similarity did it have with the movie?
I dont like Independence Day now but i loved it back when it was released. I saw it 5-6 times. I was only 14
//Other two movies I have not seen.
You haven’t seen AAA or even Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron? How come? U didnt watch hindi movies when u were in India?
Isn’t the story of LOTR much like from Kid’s book ?
Unfortunately I didn’t watch many hindi movies when I was living with my parents. Now I am trying to make up for it and will cover all the important movies.
@greensatya: Well, LOTR is a fantasy and most fantasies are childish. But I really know nothing about books so you better ask either J R R Tolkien’s ghost or anyone who knows about books if LOTR is a kids’ book. Coming to the movies, they are fantastic fantasies. So what if they are childish. So am I
